Gene Finding
Gene prediction is the problem of identifying the exon-intron structure, coding region within the exons, and, sometimes, additional transcriptional or regulatory elements. Our interests are in the development of probabilistic models that allow for the incorporation of experimental evidence - thus bridging ab initio, homology-based, and ad hoc heuristic pipeline methods.
